Kabbas

This is Karni Mata ji temple, Deshnok, Bikaner (Rajasthan). There are nearly 25000 rats live and reserved in the temple.

These holy rats are called “kabbas”. Out of 25000 rats, there are few white rats which are considered to be especially holy. Sighting them is a special blessing and there is no case of any disease being spread by these rats till date. Above all these facts, I feel lucky myself that I was able to capture such a gathering.
